ABOUT THE BRAND
The latin verb "tero" [TEH-roh] describes the action of wearing something down through repeated use. This vintage-inspired brand was made to pay homage to old, timeless looks. All of our designs are intended to show the beauty in the things that may look a little rough around the edges.
All pieces are designed by my love for old clothing, hand me downs, and the stories that go along with them. My goal is to create products that look like they'd be found in a thrift shop or your grandparents' closet. With that in mind, the brand is centered around one saying that drives the creative vision:
FOR OLD TIMES' SAKE
MY STORY
I grew up always loving fashion but honestly didn’t have a great sense of style until I got older. When I got to college, I started figuring out I wanted to pursue a career in fashion and taking the lifestyle more seriously and got my first experience working in a retail store. I fell in love with thrifting vintage clothing and eventually started selling online.
I applied for corporate fashion internships and at first got rejected multiple times. Kept selling online and eventually turned my online store into pop up shops which helped land a corporate merchandising internship in NYC. I loved the experience but realized I wanted to pursue my own creative so I denied a full time return offer to start my own brand.
So, a few weeks after my 23rd birthday I launched my first collection and couldn’t be more excited about the future. The concept for Tero is founded on my love for old clothing and my goal is for Tero to remind us of all the moments that made us who we are.
